Glacier – Avalanche Lake and 2 Medicine Area – 2 more great hikes make 50 miles

Finishing off the trip were 2 more hikes, both with their own charms.

1st up was the Trail of the Cedars and Avalanche Lake.    A relatively easy 4-5 mile roundtrip, with some elevation gain.    The gorge was really interesting, with water flumes and rainbows.    And the lake was even better, with waterfalls on the distant walls.    And even another rock pile for Anna to build.

The next day was a series of hikes to the Medicine Lake area.  We went to an interesting waterfall, running eagle falls, that seems to come out of the rock, a nice vista called Aster point, and then finally a magnificent multi-stage waterfall called Rockwell Falls.   Well worth the catch,

In total, all the hikes added up to around 50 miles.   Anna had the blister to prove it.   Now THAT is a relaxing vacation !
