Chicago Transit Authority – concert

My friend Tim won tickets to see Chicago, in the Wellmont Theatre in Montclair..    what a great show.  The concert we did not see, because… well … we were in the nose bleed seats… you can see some highlights   here from youtube.

It was so great to see a band, playing their 4 decade hits, with joy, rock,  and clear sound.   There is nothing like seeing a fantastic horn section, and the power of the instruments filling the arena.    Really.. it was great.

Some of these songs have real meaning for me, such as being at a 7th grade dance, and getting up the nerve to ask Theresa K to dance during “color my world”…. See video below.

We were waiting for “25 or 6 to 4”, that bastion of easy rock that every newbie guitarist plays first.    It turned out to be the last encore.    If I had a decent camera on the blackberry, for 25 or 6 to 4, it would look Something like this … but I don’t…. so you get…

I do love seeing live music…. I need to do more of this.
