Mt Hood, Oregon

??
??
11k foot Mt Hood?? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Hood??) ??looms over Portland, similar to how Rainier towers over Seattle.???????? we spent day 2 of the vacation hiking on its shoulder, near the famous timerline lodge (seen in the “Shining” – http://www.timberlinelodge.com/??).????????
??
for us, the combination of snow and 70 degree weather was interesting.???? we stayed a short while, and then headed for a hike overlooking the mountain (alas, no, there is no trail to the top of Mt Hood; it is a technical climb) .????and dangerous, like in 2002 – http://www.traditionalmountaineering.org/Report_Hood_Bergschrund.htm??

Nice touch, the way you walked into the frame underneath the peak, in order to shake the fist. Damn you Mahler! (nice camerawork too)
